Drawing Eyes!

comment Comment Written by Figure Drawing on August 14, 2009 – 5:19 pm

You may want to focus on one area of the figure as you learn and memorize. This video of 2 eyes is a great example of how practice makes perfect.

I Like It:

  • Everybody wants to draw eyes.
  • The drawing is very complete – Use the Pause to get a good look.
  • Great use of Photoshop for Demoing purposes.
  • It’s not too long.

Learning from this:

  • Notice How the Artist puts in the initial marks to get the proportions correct.
  • See how digital drawing is just as fun as pencil and paper.
  • Notice the roundness of the eye stays apparent throughout the video.
  • See how the artist is consistent in their approach to drawing the eye.

Try to keep your brush the same size when you sketch digitally. It will be tempting to change the size.
