Admiral Adama Speed Drawing Portrait
Drawing a celebrity is a great way to practice your portrait drawing Skills. Everybody will recognize the portrait so if you go looking for feedback from you non artistic friends you can expect some honesty in terms of your accuracy.
I Like It:
- A lot of people will recognize Admiral Adama.
- The drawing is very complete – Use the Pause to get a good look.
- Variety of strokes.
- Great use of rubbing to blend the shadows.
- A really good look at the number of layers that go into a complete drawing.
- It’s not too long.
Learning from this:
- Notice The number of tools the artist uses to make this drawing complete.
- Apply a variety of strokes while you draw, Both, light and dark, thick and thin.
- See how you can soften some edges but leave others hard for an interesting look.
Some people will over do the rubbing. It takes a lot of practice to get it right. Try to blend hard edges and soft edges in your work so that they don’t become too blurry or underdeveloped. Try to use your eraser as part of the drawing and not only as a tool to fix mistakes.
